Rowley Hill Lodge was built in 1830 and has been extended over the years. It now has two guest bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The twin room looks out over the secluded garden with dovecote, and the double room faces Saffron Walden. Both rooms have colour TV and tea/coffee trays and the bathrooms have powerful showers as well as baths. Saffron Walden (11/2 miles, B1052) is a delightful market town with good shops and many eating places. Also close to Cambridge, Duxford Aircraft Museum and Stansted airport. Parking.
